Home Care offers professional healthcare to patient's at home

Home Care is the health care or supportive care given a senior in the patient's home by healthcare professionals or by family and friends. The professionals or family is also known as caregivers, primary caregiver, or voluntary caregivers who give informal care. It is also known as domiciliary care, home health care or formal care, or skilled care. The term home care is used to differentiate between non-medical care or custodial care. Home care is offered by people who are not nurses, doctors, or other licensed medical personnel. It is different from home health care which means taking care of people by licensed personnel.

Professional home health services could include medical or psychological assessment, wound care, medication teaching, pain management, disease education and management, physical therapy, speech therapy, or occupational therapy.
